Go Ahead, Stick your nose in my business...again
So, the William J. Clinton [his "slickness"] foundation has announced that they brokered a deal where soft drinks [Coke, Pepsi] will no longer be sold in the public schools. Besides providing another "good deed" for the former president's battered "legacy," the "agreement" once again shows that a small group of people can change business contracts despite overwhelming public demand.
I won't take off on the "Alliance for a Healthier Generation." They sound like another version of the Food Police, but our society is over run with people who are going to make you healthier by forcing their ideas on you whether you want to or not!
Then there's the house, trying to pass another bill to regulate the Oil Business.
After the prices of Gas ran up after Katrina, we all heard that learned pundit, keeper of all knowledge, the "man on the street" complain that there had to be some price fixing since all the gas stations raised their prices at the same time...
Forget that those gas stations were all being serviced by the same distributor, who charged the individual station their contract rate. Forget that for years gas stations in a given area have almost always charged the same, our National Nanny ideology demands that we investigate [for the 3rd or 4th time] price gouging in the oil biz.
It is a shame that congress won't investigate the one entity in the United States that does hold meetings to control everything in our country, but they're not going to investigate themselves, or the activist packed, bloated Federal Burocracy.
