Pelosi for Queen?

So House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is being talk about as the future Speaker of the House.

Intriguing. And she's got such an exciting agenda planned....

Her first announced project would be to raise the Minimum Wage, forcing how many poor people out of jobs because most small business guys [like me] can't afford all the government mandated "living" wages now.

Her second big project would be to "investigate the Bush Administration."

The third is to impeach the President, after all he stole both elections, and has all these evil businessmen giving him advice, and besides the Democrats should be in control of everything, etc., etc., etc.

Interesting agenda, but not one that lights my fire...

1. I would suggest that ol' Nancy check out how many entry level jobs there actually are, and how many have disappeared since the minimum wage crept up over $7.00. Automation is one of the end products of the rise - business guys figure out how to replace those now expensive entry level folks with machines.

2. Before the Democrats investigate W, they might check out themselves. Look at the number of indictments filed against city employees, most of them members of the Democrat Party. Baltimore, with its sterling leaders with higher ambitions, is already under a big dark cloud for nefarious dealings with council members families getting plum, do nothing jobs. At least Tom Delay works for a living.

3. "Tit for Tat" only works on a 1960's [or earlier] playground. The hard liners need to get a life and get on with reducing the size of government and not by removing duly elected incumbents.

Of course Nancy can't come out and propose her actual agenda - a command economy driven by an all knowing, benevolent [unless you disagree] government. You know, like the 1920's Soviet Union?
