Payroll deal sails through Senate, 89-10

So the Senate finally got off their collective charisma’s, pushed Harry Ried’s ego out of the way and approved a 2 month extension of the looting of Social Security, along with extending unemployment, and a deal to “reconsider” the pipeline deal during an election where some of those guys need the greenies to get re-elected.

Once again, the “senior” body of the legislature showed why they are the masters of looking like they are doing something, while collecting all that money from lobbyists, and worse.

The good news is that during the process, only trees were damaged, as reams of paper were sacrificed to the false god of bureaucracy. The high priests of this cult, distinguished by the “D” that sometimes follow their names, all patted themselves on the back, took their bows and headed to the hustings (at government expense no doubt).

So, the world is again safe from all the ills presented by the fearless leader, BHO, as the Congress rose above their petty political games to once again spend more of OUR money. The Obamamedia all are a twitter with this solution to all of our ills – the Democrat Party’s Chris…’er Holiday Present to we poor serfs and underlings.

Or did they just kick the can down the road another few feet?
